Friday, November 30, 2007 – Friday Night Thing: Fondue and Game Night at Noelle’s!: For our next Friday Night Thing, Noelle Wilson would like to invite everyone over to her place to enjoy a night of fondue and games! All the favorites will be there from Catch Phrase to Rummey!
If you can come, please bring something for the fondue. Noelle will be making a dark chocolate fondue and if you are wondering what to bring, here are some options. Marshmallows, pretzel sticks, strawberries, cake and bananas. She will also have coffee with all the trimmings and flavors and creamers aplenty!! Noelle Wilson is heading up a cultural expedition to the Knoxville Symphony’s Clayton Holiday Concert - 7:30PM, Friday, December 14th at Civic Auditorium. The show features the KSO, led by Maestro Lucas Richman, the Knoxville Choral Society, and the Appalachian Ballet Company, with favorite songs and carols plus a special visit by Santa!
Come out and enjoy East Tennessee’s favorite holiday tradition

Mark your calendars now and plan to be at our first Soul Purpose Christmas Party, Saturday, December 15th! The evening will consist of a Potluck dinner, so please bring a covered dish and $5 to cover expenses. Please see the sign-up sheet at the Sunday morning Hub meetings December 2nd and 9th. The party starts at 6:PM and will run to 9:30PM, when we will all help pitch in to clean up and be out by 10PM.

If you know you will be bringing a chili or brownies, please sign up today. If you don’t plan to bring chili or brownies, please sign up to bring fixin’s, such as corn chips, cheese, sour cream, etc. Everyone not cooking needs to bring a 2-liter drink. We are currently collecting items and money for our special Thanksgiving Basket project! We will be providing a Thanksgiving basket to a family at West Vista Ridge Apts for which Deb Bates tutors. The family will be having 5 adults and 3 children dining on the big day, so we need lots of stuff to help feed them.

As of this afternoon, I have changed the template for the Soul Purpose website. Our new home page features pictures from the Soul Purpose group on Flickr!
Joining the Fun is Easy!
It’s easy to contribute pictures to our Soul Purpose Flickr group. All you have to do is sign up for a free Flickr account and then request an invite to the Soul Purpose group on Flickr. Once you’re a member, you will be able to add your pictures to our group simply by clicking a button above your uploaded photos. After I approve your photos for our group, they will appear on the home page of our website. It should be a great way for new folks to find out about us prior to visiting.

Kevin Huggins will starting a new teaching series in our Hub meetings next Sunday, November 4th entitled “The Single’s Guide to Relating to the Opposite Sex”. Our next Friday Night Thing is this Friday, November 2nd at Greenbrier Ridge Apartments Clubhouse - 7PM-11PM. Our latest edition of FNT will feature a “Movie Night” designed to help kick off Kevin Huggin’s new teaching series, “The Single’s Guide to Relating to the Opposite Sex”. To lay the groundwork for the new series that starts Sunday, November 4th, we will watch selected clips from several popular movies and TV shows that illistrate some of the things we will be discussing in this new series.
The church is providing Buddy’s BBQ, so please come out with a two-liter drink and a snack or dessert to share and enjoy fun movie moments and thought provoking discussion on how men and women can better relate in a godly fashion towards each other.
