Labor Day Weekend Brunch – Sunday, Sept. 5th

While all Adult Community Groups will not meet on Sunday, Sept. 5th due to the Labor Day holiday, those who are in town are invited to meet up in the lobby following the 9:15AM service and go out for a Dutch treat Sunday Brunch.  The services will be only an hour this day, so following the service, please meet across the hall in our normal room – Room 606 (or that hallway if the room is not available) – and we will leave around 10:30AM to go to the designated place for brunch.   Stay tuned for details as they are made know.

‘Making Room For One More” Teaching Series – Sept. 12/19/26

As Fellowship Church now enters year two of our “Season to Engage”, we want to further explore how we can make more impact in our church and our world by strengthening our community groups and introducing more people to the blessings and importance of living in Christian community.

To help us have a better understanding of this, the teaching in our Sunday services will feature the following topics:

Sept. 12th – “Making Room for God”

Sept. 19th – “Making Room In Your Groups for Others”

Sept. 26th – “Making Room to Spiritually Invest in People’s Lives”

Following the church services on these days, all adult community groups will feature further discussions on the same topics. Please make plans now to join us for these important services and our 11AM Hub meetings!

Whether you’re a first-time visitor or harken back to the good old days, you won’t want to miss the Soul Purpose town hall meeting at 11AM on Aug. 29! The town hall meeting is an opportunity for all of us who call Soul Purpose home to reimagine our community group in the light of who we are and how God is working among us. Please note on this day due to the Summer Quest Finale in the 600 Quad, we will be meeting Room 605.

“Why Community?” with Tyler Arp – Sunday, August 22nd

At some level, we all are wired to seek out the company of others and to be in relationship with others. The great irony of our society today is that we are more “connected” than we have ever been to our world, but more people are more alone than ever.

With that in mind, please join us for our Sunday Hub meeting on August 22nd when we have Tyler Arp back to lead us in an important discussion on the importance of community, especially Christian community for believers. The fun starts at 11AM in Room 606 – hope to see you then!

“Saturday Night Thing” @ Greenbrier Ridge August 14th

Think of it like “Live at Five at Four” as this month our Friday Night Thing will be on Saturday, August 14th! For this special Saturday Night Thing, we will make our return to Greenbrier Ridge Apartments clubhouse to hang out and get warmed up for football season by watching “The Blind Side”. The fun starts at 7PM and we will start the movie around 8PM. We ask everyone to bring a sweet, salty or healthy snack and a soda, tea or juice beverage to share. Hope to see you then!

Soul Purpose Hosts Marriage Position Paper Workshop – Sunday, August 1st

If you have been coming to Fellowship the last three or so weeks, chances are you have heard about the church’s new Marriage Position Paper. This paper has been designed to give a biblical perspective on marriage that does not get the attention it deserves in our current society, and to clearly state our church elders’ views on Marriage, Divorce and Remarriage. To help study and discuss this Marriage Position Paper in more depth , a workshop has been scheduled for this Sunday, August 1st. There will be a session in Room 605 at 9:15AM and another at 11AM in Room 605/606. This workshop is open to anyone in our congregation who desires to know more about the biblical teaching and our church’s position on these topics. We encourage everyone in our congregation to visit fefc.com to read our new position paper. ( located under the “about us” then the “what we believe” tab )

Soul Purpose and Mosaic have been given the honor of hosting the 11AM workshop in Room 605/606. Please make your plans now to be there Sunday morning for a valuable time of learning and discussion on this important topic!

Saturday, July 24th – Scavenger Hunt!!

This is a heads up that our July Friday Night Thing will actually be a Saturday Thing – namely a Scavenger Hunt! The full details will come soon, but the Hunt is expected to begin around 4PM as we make our rounds about town in teams collecting items and racking up points as we contend for not-so-valuable but oh-so-fun prizes and all important bragging rights! Stay tuned to this website and our Facebook page (“Soul Purpose at Fellowship Church, Knoxville, TN”) as the full details are made known.

July 11th – Soul Purpose Serves in Summer Quest

Soul Purpose will not meet on Sunday, July 11th as we will be serving in the Fellowship Church Children’s Ministry Summer Quest program during both services. This is a very important way of serving our children at Fellowship and our community so if you have not yet signed up, please contact Wendy Stafford at the church at 470-9800 to volunteer.

Then, the following Sunday, July 18th, please be sure to join us when Cade Long shares his journey of faith with us in “A Wizened Veteran Shares His Heart”.
