Kevin Huggins will starting a new teaching series in our Hub meetings next Sunday, November 4th entitled “The Single’s Guide to Relating to the Opposite Sex”. This series will look at how Christ related to the opposite sex and we will see how we can apply his example to our own relationships, platonic, romantic or otherwise. Soul Purpose is committed to helping foster good healthy and godly relationships between our men and women as brothers and sisters in Christ and this series is designed to help promote this goal. We want our men and women to be able to relate to each other as people who genuinely care for each other in a loving godly way. Our hope is that this series will help create a better environment for communication between the genders and to allow all of us to better cope with the usual social awkwardness and misunderstandings that can sometime arise when men and women communicate with each other.
Don’t forget to attend our special Friday Night Thing kickoff for this series this Friday, Nov. 2nd at Greenbrier Ridge Apt. Clubhouse. There, we will see clips from several popular movie and TV shows that help illustrate good and not so good ways for us to relate to each other as men and women followed by a lot of good discussion! Buddy’s BBQ will be served, so bring a 2-liter drink and a dessert or snack to share and come ready for a fun and thought-provoking evening.
